Where to hang out? ………. Riverside!!

Nowadays night life is getting much more popular than the old times. Back to the old times, people often stay at home during night time but guess what? Compared to now, people often stay at home during day time and hang out during night time.
I’m sure mostly people hang out during night time is at those restaurants so called “mamak”.
But don’t you guys feel bored by hanging out the same place every time?

Riverside Grill & Bar @ The Heritage @ Serdang

Today, I have a suggestion for those people out there who like to hang out during night time, the "Riverside Grill & Bar ".  Riverside placed near the shopping mall name The Mines, where Riverside actually based in condominium area named, The Heritage.

Let's take a look the environment here... ... relax... isn't it??

The surrounding of Riverside is much more suitable for couple to dine in. Of course, spending your good time with family also a good choice ^^

Guess what? It's girls night

Look at the design of the MENU, CREATIVE!!

No doubt!! It's REAL swan! Soooooo cute! Many customers are sharing their food to this cute thing ( I'm one of them)

Just beside the restaurant there is a lake with those lovely swan and fish swimming around.  Unlike those mamak out there, the surrounding of this restaurant is quite and relax.
As usual... Coke is a MUST, ** TADAA~~** Ice Mocha (Strongly recommended)

1. Fish & Chips is not bad. 2. Tom Yam Fried Rice is awesome. 3. Tom Yam Soup still okay. 4. Garlic Butter Cheese Chicken Chop is special.
Okay… Now it is time to talking about the food. The food here is great, especially the steak. The price is reasonable, not expensive at all! Couple dating with budget, this place is definitely suitable for them.

You can see that almost everyone's table have this, we called "Shisha"

Oh yeah, guess what there’s “shisha” too… For those shisha lover you guys really to visit this because it is awesome!!

Restaurant Lan Je @ USJ

“一人一鱼”- One fish per pax? Haha... ...

Few years ago, I have always wanted to try Lan Je Steamed Fish, but the main branch is too far away, the main branch is located at Rawang.

The other outlets stated & some news articles about this restaurant is paste on the board
Lan Je is getting more famous with more branches sprouting in Klang Valley as far as Balakong and Kota Damansara. This outlet is at Subang Jaya (USJ) and has been opened since 2011. From my place to here just need 20minutes, it’s very nearby and has been here numerous times and the quality of food has been consistent.
To share my experiences, I did have my lunch and dinner at the same restaurant in one day!! Sounds crazy right? I just can’t control my saliva when I’m thinking the sweet flesh of the fish…
This restaurant is "Pork Free"

Here is always crowded in anytime!

I love the fish!! Fish love me!! The only fish serving here name “Talapia”.   Yes, it’s kind of low price seafood. But, this dish is compatible to others fish. It comes with non spicy, mild spicy or extra spicy. The talapia has been "detoxicated" for a while (to take away any muddy smell) before serving it. Mmmmmm…the fish is just perfect matched to the soy sauce.

Lunch - Non spicy & Dinner - Mild spicy

They do not serve pork, so for your other carnivorous needs, you have chicken cooked either Kung Pao style (with onions and dried chillies) or Sweet and Sour style. The chicken is BONELESS…so that every bite is bliss. All the other dishes are nice too.
Lunch - Fried Yao Mak & Dinner - Fried Choy Tam and Sweet & sour chicken

Ordering your food here is a breeze. No menus, no daily specials. Steamed Talapia is a MUST. The only downside is probably the dish took 25min to arrive despite only 2 tables. The prices their charged is reasonable.
You can see almost everyone is having a fish each. Most patrons order a fish each, to fully savour his/her own fish, without the need to fight over the best parts. But, we like to share with others, because… “Sharing means caring”!

If someone ask you: what kind authenthic cuisine that Ipoh have?

For sure Ipoh Bean Sprouts Chicken will first come into your mind.

Actually Ipoh not only famous in Bean Sprouts Chicken but  the special salt-baked chicken is also well known. We can found few selling Salt-baked Chicken outlet in town, but
An Qionglin Salt-baked Chicken is the most famous outlet among others. A lot of tourists and local people will either dine in or take away to enjoy this special dish.

Besides crowded STILL crowded... they did provide "drive thru" service also... Haha (Only local will know it)

In some day, I took few [local] KL friends hanging around in Ipoh (small town) :D
After some visiting, my friends are beginning to nagging about their stomach was in fierce protest =='

I took them to An Qionglin Salt-baked Chicken to settle their lunch to avoid my ears suffering from the "sound pollution". This shop is not much table available for dine in customer. So, I order and then take away back to home enjoy my salted chicken in a very comfortable environment.

Here we go ... ... say "Hello" to our meal  =D

I can't wait!! I can't wait!!

Wait... This is not the normal chicken that usually we eat. This is typical "village chicken", which mean the meat of the chicken is more chewable than the normal one. And... Look at the skin's color, it is must more "Golden color" and attractive! But, it's not expensive at all, this whole chicken only cost RM16.

The whole chicken left only bone and skin surround within 10 minutes!!

I got the drumstick~ happy~~
They were very happy and satisfy because they NEVER ate salt-baked chicken like this before. Oh gosh! I'm speechless at that moment. Actually, I'm feeling really happy because I share this nice food from my lovely hometown to them.

Feel like wanna have a bite on it? Please get it from the address below or else you have to beg me
**evil smile**

As the experts says going out for picnic are good for physical and mental feelings which it will bought you a warming effects.

My date and I with a couple along, we decided to visit a place where we can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The place we have visited is Fraser Hill, the journey take one and half hour to reach there.
Well thinking to bring your date to somewhere romantic but the need of cash hold your thought back? Fraser Hill give a fullfill yo your thoughts and needs. You can enjoy the romantic scence here at Fraser Hill!!

The City of Romance~~ below are the details for the place :

French - City of Romance

How much do we need to spend for a trip to France?
RM2,000? RM3,500?
Yes it is around that amount but the figure is only for one person trip. You are thinking to bring your date along aren't you? :) And here is the solution for you.

RM150 for couple to enjoy the romantic trip.

Can't you believe that?!!
RM150 allows us to enjoy the romantic tone of the French :D

** Please believe what you haven seen in this picture. No doubt! We really went to the city of romance - French!

French village full of love, we can refresh our tired body and the pressure when we in the lovely village.

Really there was the moment I mistakenly thought I really live in France.

White VS Black

I walked to see the lovely swan
The swan was carefree and scurrying around.

Germany - The cute place ever

German Village is my favorite actually because there is a lot of rabbit inside the Rabbit Park

You only need to pay with your love then you can have fun with a large group of rabbits.

Oh! Japan!

After the cute place I walked carefully and slowly I entered the forested area.

Listening to the insects and birds, gurgling water skiing sound really will make people mistakenly think falling in paradise.

We all in KIMONO

We put on the the Kimono that we rent from the owner and after that went to the spa area to enjoy the hot springs.

Coming from underground, generally spring water is warm, even hot.

When water crosses the underground layers of rocks, dissolve them and come to the surface as mineral water, it's properties is different from region to region, even from spring to spring; the deeper the layer it comes from, the hotter the water.

But the temperature is not necessarily the characteristic of these spring waters - the healing effect comes mostly, from the mineral composition of this springs and the Geothermal energy of this underground water.

Although contemporary medicine has been slow to establish the scientific basis for the benefits of submersion in mineral-rich hot springs water, a long history of use verifies its soothing beneficial effects.

It is widely recognized that a tranquil hot springs soak provides relief from the pain of stressed muscles and tired joints.

The complex effects of hot springs minerals on the skins glands and blood vessels is the likely explanation for the numerous subtle benefits that are reported by those in tune with the hot springs way of life.

Thermal spring water facilitates healing in a number of important ways:
  • Bathing in hot springs gradually increases the temperature of the body, thus killing harmful germs and viruses.
  • Thermal bathing increases hydrostatic pressure on the body, thus increasing blood circulation and cell oxygenation. The increase in blood flow also helps dissolve and eliminate toxins from the body.
  • Hot springs bathing increases the flow of oxygen-rich blood throughout the body, bringing improved nourishment to vital organs and tissues.
  • Bathing in thermal water increases body metabolism, including stimulating the secretions of the intestinal tract and the liver, aiding digestion.
  • Repeated hot springs bathing (especially over three- to four-week period) can help normalize the functions of the endocrine glands as well as the functioning of the body’s autonomic nervous system.
  • Trace amounts of minerals such as carbon dioxide, sulfur, calcium, magnesium, and lithium are absorbed by the body and provide healing effects to various body organs and system. These healing effects can include stimulation of the immune system, leading to enhanced immunity; physical and mental relaxation; the production of endorphins; and normalized gland function.
  • Mineral springs contain high amounts of negative ions, which can help promote feelings of physical and psychological well-being.
  • The direct application of mineralized thermal waters (especially those containing sulfur) can have a therapeutic effect on diseases of the skin, including psoriasis, dermatitis, and fungal infections. Some mineral waters are also used to help the healing of wounds and other skin injuries.

Onn Kee Bean Sprout Chicken - Ipoh

When you once in Ipoh you MUST eat "Tau Ge" or what we usually called it as beansprout! Because it’s only at this lovely place that you will get to sink your teeth into the fattest, juiciest and crunchiest bean sprouts ever! Don't believe it? Reason is due to the ‘magical’ limestone hill water gives the plants nutrients. And... Have you heard about many pretty girls and handsome boys are cames from Ipoh? Yes, the people who stay near the caves or hills, their skin look fair and soft like baby... Hehehe **wink**

Another MUST from Ipoh will be the chicken rice. There is so many chicken rice shop in Ipoh but the really nice and tasty one were limited. So, here I got the combinations of bean sprout and chicken rice at one shop, this restaurant I would like to share to you all were located in Ipoh -
Restaurant Onn Kee Bean Sprout Chicken.

Restaurant Onn Kee

The workers just busy chopping the chicken and serving the food

Onn Kee is well known for its tender, freshness of the chicken and the noodle - Kuey Teow. I can bet you can't get any other noodle from outside like Onn Kee gives to you. It's smooth and you can feel it melts inside your mouth! The stock is flavoured by the sweet essence of chicken and just a dash of pepper to give that extra zest.

Other than the chicken and noodle, another thing is the pork / fish ball is also a delighting one and a recommended one to try on.

Kuey Teow have to choices- Soup or dry in soy sauce

A plate of poached chicken together with soy sauce and spring onions, a table filled with yummilicious food

Years ago, this restaurant operates only at night after 7p.m. to late midnight. Now, they are open at 12.30p.m. to late midnight. An asides, the restaurant is also well maintained and it is clean. Yet, here is under air conditioning environment. You can enjoy the nice food with sweat-free, especially they running their business during the noon time.

Although is 2p.m. now, it's FULL HOUSE!

Me and mummy after enjoyed the nice food ^^

As you can see from the picture, there are many photo hanging on the wall in the shop which is many HK and other countries artist was been here and grab a taste of the chicken rice/noodle.

Restoran Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot @ Kuchai Lama

What is Hot Pot ?

"As one branch of Sichuan cuisine, Chongqing cuisine is noted for its distinctive spicy and pungent flavors. Chongqing is the birth place of the hot pot in China. Once upon a time, it was a seasonal food designed to protect against the low temperatures and frigid winds of the winter. People would sit around a table, eat hot pot, and revel in the instant warmth that would flood their bodies. Hot pot has become more and more popular today, and it is widely enjoyed by people and regardless of seasons and regions"

The colorfull is good for eye catching

Chongqing Chicken Hot Pot- From it's name, I thought that here only served chicken meals, but, I was wrong, except from chicken, you can have  pork, beef  or fish in a pot and you can also select the level of spiciness – mild spicy, medium, and super spicy. The pots come in small, medium or big serving.  Me and my friends were kinda greedy and hungry. We are craving for spicy foods all the time, so, we ordered 2 small pots, which is 1 mild spicy beef hot pot "牛魔王" and another one medium spicy chicken hot pot "鸡公煲". The design on the table was cute~ There is a picture showing the intructions or steps of the processing that how customers should do, which is once you enter the restaurant until you left the restaurant.

Environment from here - getting crowded

The little cute stove
That's only few minutes time, this retaurant is full-house and being crowded. Usually, during 6p.m. until 9p.m. were they super busy business hours and you can see many people standing around to wait for the table.

My friend- Heng Yee and I (one more is missing because he is not willing to take photo =[  )

While waiting for the food come, we decided to ‘explore’ the fridge where the side dishes were stored. For sure, we wont miss out any chances to take photo to keep the good memories. There were baskets/bowls tagged from  RM1 to RM4 of vegetables, bowls of pork / fish balls, noodles, mushrooms, beancurd  and so on. We took a basket of vegetable and 2 baskets of meetball then we returned to our table.

Beef Hotpot                                     Chicken hotpot

First to arrive was the chicken hot pot , the aroma filled our nostrils, triggered a generous flow of saliva .The  flavour was a blend of sweet, sour and spicy . The every single pieces of chicken were tender and very  tasty. There were also quite a lot of vegetables in the pot : carrots, celery, garlic, onions and lotus root. It's very nice indeed, because I like vegetables ^^

Within 10minutes, beef hot pot were served, another sizzling and aromatic pot. There were slices of beef, beef balls. There were plenty of vegetables like inside the pot just like the chicken hot pot does.

When we looking into the pot, we are feeling annoying about the sauces is going to finish. The waiter came by and ask whether we need to refill the soup or not. It's same, the soup also can select the level of spiciness. Then he poured soup into the pots and then the hotpot turns to steamboat like, so, this is where the side dishes come into the picture. The soup were kinda salty but goes well with rice.

Tips: Try not to get in the way of the steam from the soup as  I found myself going all teary-eyed from this.

The COOLEST hotspot in town - i-City

I would like to introduce an interesting place to you guys, which is a "snow walk" located at i-City. Times ago, my member  was introduced the outdoor at i-City, and everyone knew how beatiful and amazing the decoration made of LED was.
This i-City or in another words like "Fire & Ice" place. If you feel bored of the routine works or feel stress, here is a good chance to take a short break and relax yourself and your family.
Here, I would like to share my experience after visit this nice place. Previously in one of the weekends, I visited the Snow Walk in i-City, Shah Alam.

Actually it’s a snow house which was designed in a building or more specific in a basement area. It would be a great place for those people who would like to experience what is life like in the arctic. The temperatures inside the snow house were said to be nearly -5 degree Celsius in there. Jackets are provided to keep you warm.
The serving crews will choose a nice jacket for you, they just take a look on you then they will know what size that you need.  You can just let them know which color you prefer like red, blue, and black and so on. It's quick and easy =)

However do make sure that you wear long pants and the covered shoes during your visit. Like me, I made the big mistake because I wore the shoes which is my toes is exposed to air. For the first few minutes, it is still okay ! But, when I keep walking on the ice, the ice is freezer my toes, the feeling just like my toes get stinging by thousands of needles!! I forced to walk out and rented a pair of shoe at last ... ... A glove would be a good idea too if you can’t stand the cold. Of course, the ear puff is needed if your little ear can't stand the cold like me.

Before enter the snow house ~

The horse carriage and the decorations all around the inside the building

Be patient ... ... here we go !!

A few hand carved ice sculptures were spotted inside which was said that the carver is    from Harbin, China.  The sculptures are equipped with LED lids to light them up.

Ice slides are also available which allows visitors to slide on a tube. Further inside there was another slide which requires you to get on a toboggan like thing.

Hehehehehe...this is what I got as a souvenir from that day!!

Besides these, if you need something to fill in to your stomach or something else, just walk out  from the snow house and walk around the building ^^

There is a small video-game center just right besides the snow walk building. Look at the toys, so cute isn't it?? Wanted to get one of them??

Restaurants like OldTown White Coffee, Gasoline, KFC and so on is available here, so do convenient shop like KK Mart, 7-Eleven and etc... The bottom picture showed the little open air hall which is a big screen TV were there to let some football or badminton lover gather here to watch the live match together. Sometimes, fair like IT fair will rent this place to runs event.
